DIODES
The solenoid coil is a magnetic device. When energized - the coil has allot of energy stored in the magnetic field to close the contacts. Turning "OFF" the Solenoid causes the magnetic field to collapse and create an electrical voltage spike in the hundreds of volts. The diode suppresses this spike and protects the motor controller and any auxiliary equipment such as DC-DC converters connected downstream.

Resistors
The motor controller has large internal filter capacitors. When the vehicle is off, these capacitors discharge. When the Key Switch (KSI) is turned on, a huge amount of current will flow charging these capacitors. This inrush can arc and damage the solenoid contacts and stress the controller.
Adding a Pre-Charge Resistor keeps the capacitors "topped-off" with a charge so when the key switch is turned on - no surge current and no arcing on the contacts. This not only increases the
life of the solenoid - but decreases the stress on the controllers electronics.

DCX Interface Wiring Adaptors
Various golf car, people movers, and small utility vehicles utilized various
motor controller products. Changing to alternative controller manufacturers can be challenging based on the various wiring schemes
and different connectors such as; Club Car, EZ-Go, Yamaha, with features
such as IQ, PDS, DCS, and the Yamaha G19.
Most Alltrax Controllers are compatible with these wire harnesses using an
adapter board that changes the wire pin outs from the vehicles wire harness connector to match the controllers functional pin outs.
These adapters offer a flexible wire solution to customers who wish to
choose an alternative, a higher performance controller such as the Alltrax
Motor Controllers. When ordering, make sure you have the make and
model of your car so the proper adapter ships with your order. These
adapters are available through Alltrax direct, or through the Alltrax Dealer,
distributor, and Master Distributor networks.

Controller Programming Kit (AXE & DCX Series)
The Programmable Alltrax Electric Motor Controllers such as the AXE (Series wound motors) and the DCX (Shunt wound motors) include a
RS232 communications port. This port can be used to adjust user settings such as throttle type, power settings, and speed settings. It can also be used to monitor operation of the controller real time.
The program runs on Microsoft Windows(TM) based machines, laptops or
desktops using simple user friendly controls. Alltrax provides this software down-loadable free of charge (cables not included). Controller Pro software has not been run on MAC(TM) based machines.

CD-R with Controller PRO operators manual, tech-notes, and the
