Originally ICE's braking is accomplished by vacuum generated through the combustion engine. For similar driving characteristics and safety after the engine is removed this vacuum must be supplied by another source. A switch automatically will turn on the pump when vacuum falls below the set value and turn it off when it reaches it's set pressure. Extremely quite, easy to install, and maintenance free.
