Can I charge on 120 Vac?

Yes, but the charger will not self-limit AC draw on 120 Vac and can exceed 15 A. Implement a CAN-based derate in your BMS and verify branch circuit capacity.

Is CAN integration required?

For managed charging, fault handling, and 120 Vac derating, CAN control from your BMS/VCU is strongly recommended. Refer to the Elcon/TC CAN protocol document.
